The offshore wind industry is flourishing. According to EWEA statistics, all of the 1,471 MW installed worldwide by the end of 2008 was in EU waters. EWEA's reference scenario predicts 3.5 GW of offshore wind in the EU by 2010, 35 GW in 2020 and 120 GW in 2030.

BWEA 30—London—21st – 23rd October 2008 Over 2,000 people will attend BWEA30, the UK's leading renewable energy event, sponsored by RES, to be held 21-23 October 2008 at ExCel London.
