Locating the postLocate position of post, ensuring correct orientation of base plate relative to roof peaks and system design. |
CleaningEnsure the area of the base plate and roof where attachment will take place are cleansed with alcohol based solution then: |
TapeRe-check you have the correct position before removing the tape and fix post to roof, once stuck down it is not easily removed. If you need to move the post, follow the previous instructions using new tape. |
FixingScrew post to roof using all 16 stitching screws. The screws are correctly fixed when the heads are clear of the driving faces in the installation driver tool (part no: 65700-00) and therefore cannot be tightened any further. |

Torque checkPerform a torque check on all 16 stitching screws to a torque of 1.5 Nm using torque driver (part no: 00799-00) with easy fix socket (part no: 00798-00). Colour coded caps can be fitted to the stitching screws if required. |
End postsOn both end posts a D ring should be attached using a single M12 bolt. |
Intermediate postsOn the intermediate post attach the cable support with an M12 bolt, tightened to a torque of typically 20 Nm, ensuring that the spring washer is flat. |
Corner postsOn the corner post fix a corner unit with an M12 bolt tightened to a torque of typically 20 Nm, so that the spring washer is flat. |

Variable postsThe variable bracket should be bent using the tube bending tool supplied by Latchways (part no: 85170). NB: It is recommended that the variable bracket should only be bent when the cable has been threaded through the tube. |
Fix the swageless terminal

First end postAttach the swageless terminal to yoke: |
Thread the cableWhen all posts and bracketry are installed, thread the cable through the support brackets, checking that it is not twisted and is free from kinks. |

Second end postFit the long run line tenser, turnbuckle and swageless terminal unit to the D ring, ensuring that there is the maximum adjustment available in the turnbuckle. |
Cut the cableRemove the cable slack from the system, mark the position for cutting and cut the cable to length. |
Connect the systemRemove the swageless terminal from the turnbuckle body and attach the cable as per instructions provided. |
Tension the systemTwist the turnbuckle to tension the system. |

Check system tensionThe correct pre-tension is acheived when the disk can be turned freely with your fingers. If this is not the case then the system will need to be adjusted prior to use. |
