Latchways plc Management Systems Policies

Latchways plc has implemented an Integrated Management System (IMS) to demonstrate its ability to provide a consistent service that meets Customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as complying with ISO 9001:2008 (International standard for quality management systems), ISO 14001: 2010 (International standard for environmental management systems) and ISO 18001:2007 (International occupational health and safety assessment series for health and safety management systems).

This will enable the company to address and achieve customer satisfaction, legislation compliance, pollution and accident prevention through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement and the prevention of Non-conformances.

The Managing Director has the overall responsibility for establishing, and reviewing the performance of the IMS. This includes ensuring Company-wide commitment to the IMS through continuous improvement. The day-to-day running of the IMS is the responsibility of the Head of Quality, who operates under the directions of the Operations Director.

Quality Policy Statement

Latchways plc are world leaders in cable based fall protection systems, and our systems are used extensively world-wide to provide user safety in any area where there is a possibility of an operative falling from height.

It is the policy of Latchways plc to provide to its customers products and services that are accurate, reliable, repeatable and compliant with specifications and appropriate regulations. These, together with timely delivery of products, documentation and services are central to our operating policy.

All customer concerns will be dealt with efficiently and effectively to resolve these concerns, where possible, to the best of our ability and to the satisfaction of our customers.

To meet these commitments, we have implemented a Quality Management System (QMS) complying with the international standard ISO 9001:2008. In addition Latchways plc is committed to continually improving the effectiveness of our QMS and has set relevant quality objectives against which we monitor our performance.

The QMS is implemented, reviewed, updated and audited through our management structure. The QMS and associated procedures are communicated to all employees and are made available on the company’s intranet.

This policy is made publicly available and is reviewed annually to ensure it remains relevant and appropriate to the organisation.

Environmental Policy Statement

Latchways plc are world leaders in cable based fall protection systems, and our systems are used extensively world-wide to provide user safety in any area where there is a possibility of an operative falling from height.

Latchways plc has identified its environmental impacts and will reduce these through continuous development of our Integrated Management System which meets the requirements of the ISO 14001:2010 standard. We aim to protect and improve the environment through good management and by adopting best practice wherever possible.

In all our activities we aspire to:

  • Comply fully with all relevant legal requirements, codes of practice and regulations.
  • Prevent pollution to land, air and water.
  • Reduce water and energy use
  • Minimise waste and recycle within the framework of our waste management procedures.
  • Identify and manage environmental risks and hazards
  • Provide suitable training to enable employees to become better prepared in managing our environmental impacts
  • Establish objectives and targets to measure the continuous improvement in our environmental performance.

Occupational Health & Safety Policy Statement

Latchways plc is committed to promoting and preserving the health, well being and safety of our employees, contractors and visitors.

This will be achieved by compliance to the relevant legislation and by adopting the principles of the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard.
